About
I am a Ph.D. candidate in the management department at the University of Florida where my research and writing explore entrepreneurial strategy, leadership, and finance. I am entering my 5th and final year of my doctoral program at the Warrington College of Business and will be entering the 2022 - 2023 academic job market.Right now, I am working on my dissertation that explores how the prior affiliations of founders influences the behavior and performance of their startups.
Prior to academia, I owned several small businesses in the hospitality industry. From 2010 to 2019 I co-owned an award winning family business called the Cedar House Inn in St. Augustine, Fl. In 2013, I launched an award-winning beachside smoothie business in Dania Beach, FL called The Fresh Squeeze. After years of significant growth I sold the business in 2018.

My teaching and speaking focus broadly on the topics of entrepreneurship and strategic management. In the classroom I combine research-driven lessons with experiential challenges and real-world case studies to create engaging sessions that prepares people to be more effective in their careers.
The passion for entrepreneurship that I bring to the classroom stems from my own entrepreneurial endeavors. By combining practical insights, driven by my ownership experience, with recent cutting-edge research on entrepreneurial strategy I hope to deliver as much value as possible for students in whatever business opportunities they hope to pursue.
